About Me
Van Lan Nguyen was born in Qui Nhon, central costal Viet Nam. She finished high school in Viet Nam then attended private Art school to pursue her passion for fine art. Thereafter Van gave private painting lessons to students until she emigrated to the United States in 1985.
She attended Dental Hygiene school to become a Dental Hygienist to support her family. After raising her son, Van once again pursued her passion for art and painting. Her style has been influenced by William-Adolphe Bouguereau and John Singer Sargent. Her favorite mediums are oil, acrylic and charcoal in realism and impressionism.
She is known for her portrait of Princess Diana published in Diana In Art by Mem Mehmet.
Van is available for commission art work.
